A Glimpse into the Future of Compact SUVs

About Us

BMW, the iconic luxury automaker, has taken the automotive world by storm with the revelation of the second-generation BMW X2. In this groundbreaking release, BMW introduces not only an evolution in gasoline engine technology but also a leap into the future with an all-new, all-electric iX2 variant. Let’s delve into the details of this remarkable unveiling.

About Us

Both the X2 xDrive28i and M35i xDrive models are equipped with a brand-new twin-turbocharged 2.0L engine, setting new standards in performance. The xDrive28i delivers a remarkable 241 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, while the M35i xDrive takes it up a notch with an impressive 312 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. These powerhouses are seamlessly coupled with an automatic seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) and, as the names suggest, feature all-wheel-drive capabilities. Production of both models will take place at BMW’s renowned facility in Regensburg, Germany.

The 2024 X2 boasts substantial growth in size compared to its predecessor. With an additional 193 mm (7.5 inches) in length and increased width and height, the new X2 is a force to be reckoned with. This extended footprint sets it apart from the X1, which underwent its own update in 2023. Not only has the exterior received a facelift, but the interior has also been transformed to provide added legroom and shoulder space. Furthermore, the X2 offers an impressive 560 liters of cargo space with the rear seats up, a substantial increase from the previous 470 liters.

About Us

At the heart of the X2’s interior lies a revolutionary curved display, featuring the latest iteration of BMW’s iDrive, known as Operating System 9. This advanced system allows for intuitive control through touch and voice commands. BMW has significantly reduced the number of physical buttons, switches, and controls, ushering in a more streamlined and modern cabin. Cloud-based navigation, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto come standard, ensuring a seamless and connected driving experience.

About Us

The 2024 X2 offers a plethora of standard and optional features to cater to every driver’s preferences. Notable options include automated parking and driving assist, model-specific LED headlamps, a panoramic sunroof, an illuminated grille, 21-inch light alloy wheels, and a choice between satin aluminum or high-gloss roof rails. Additionally, an M Sport package is available for the xDrive28i, enhancing its aesthetics with side air intakes, gloss black window surrounds, M side skirts, and more. For the ultimate sporty experience, the M Sport Pro Package is available on both trims, offering M Sport brakes, an M rear spoiler, high-gloss grille surrounds, and unique M Sport seats on the M35i.

BMW is set to revolutionize the compact SUV segment with the launch of the all-new electric iX2 xDrive30, scheduled to debut globally in March 2024. This electric marvel will be manufactured alongside its gasoline counterpart in the Regensburg factory. Boasting twin electric motors—one in the front and one in the rear—providing all-wheel drive, the iX2 generates a staggering 313 horsepower and 364 lb-ft of torque. It accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in just 5.6 seconds and achieves a top speed of 180 km/h. In the European test cycle, it boasts an impressive range of 417 to 449 kilometers on a single charge. Europe and other global markets will also have the option of the X2 with a three-cylinder gas engine with a mild-hybrid system and a four-cylinder diesel engine.

The 2024 BMW X2 lineup represents a significant leap forward in the world of compact SUVs, showcasing BMW’s commitment to innovation, performance, and sustainability. With its impressive powertrains, enhanced dimensions, cutting-edge interior, and electric variant, the X2 is poised to redefine the standards of the segment. As we look ahead to this exciting release, it’s evident that the future of compact SUVs has never been brighter.
