2026 BMW M2 CS
With the 2026 M2 CS, BMW M once again pushes the limits of high-performance
driving. Directly inspired by motorsport, this ultra-focused special edition blends raw power, mechanical
precision, and exclusive design. Its upgraded inline-six engine produces 523 horsepower, while a 44-kg
weight reduction delivers exceptional performance both on the road and the track.
Built in limited numbers, the M2 CS will enter production in August 2025,
with pricing starting at $125,000 CAD. Compact and muscular, this model is built for enthusiasts who want
the road to feel like an extension of the track.
What's New for the 2026 BMW M2 CS
Exterior
The exterior design of the 2026 BMW M2 CS makes its intentions clear. With
extensive use of carbon fibre for the roof, mirror caps, rear diffuser, and trunk lid with integrated
spoiler, the car achieves a sleek silhouette and improved aerodynamics. A matte black grille and aggressive
front splitter further emphasize its motorsport character.
Exclusive forged 827M wheels in matte bronze are staggered at 19 inches in
front and 20 inches in the rear. Standard colour options include Sapphire Black Metallic, Brooklyn Grey
Metallic, and Portimao Blue Metallic. BMW Individual Velvet Blue Metallic is also available for an
additional charge. Shadowline adaptive LED headlights with darkened inlays are included as standard.
Interior
Inside, the performance-focused atmosphere is immediately apparent.
Lightweight, heated M Carbon bucket seats are upholstered in Black Merino leather with M tricolour striping
and an illuminated “CS” logo on the headrest. Headrests are removable for helmet use, and the seats are
harness-compatible for track applications.
The Alcantara-wrapped M steering wheel includes a flat bottom, red centre
marker, shift paddles, and two configurable M buttons. The carbon fibre centre console is exclusive to the
CS, etched with a red “CS” logo. Door panels also feature unique backlit CS logos with adjustable ambient
lighting. M seat belts and a black headliner complete the race-ready cabin.
Features
Powertrain
Under the hood, the 2026 M2 CS houses an enhanced version of the S58
twin-turbo inline-six. With two mono-scroll turbochargers, high-precision direct injection, and revised
engine calibration, it delivers 523 hp at 6,250 rpm and 479 lb-ft of torque between 2,700 and 5,620 rpm.
The redline reaches 7,200 rpm, and throttle response has been optimized for maximum precision.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a standard 8-speed M Steptronic
automatic transmission with Drivelogic. Drivers can shift manually using steering wheel paddles or the
redesigned M gear selector. The 0–100 km/h sprint takes just 3.8 seconds, and top speed is
electronically limited to 302 km/h with the standard M Driver’s Package.
Technology
Inside, BMW’s Operating System 8.5 powers a 12.3-inch digital instrument
cluster and a 14.9-inch central touchscreen. Climate control, seat heating, and ventilation settings can
be adjusted via voice command or touch. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, as is the
premium Harman Kardon surround sound system.
The navigation system includes BMW Maps, head-up display with augmented
reality, and live traffic updates. BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant is also included, while M-specific
screens display performance data, tire temperatures, and lap timing to support serious driving
scenarios.
Versions
The 2026 BMW M2 CS is offered in a single, high-performance

Differential, forged wheels, and M Compound brakes. The car is engineered to deliver its full potential
right out of the box.
