The D’Argenio family just hit an important milestone. 50 years as a BMW dealership!

Our story didn’t start with a showroom — it started with a gas pump.

In the early 1970s, our founder, Gerardo D’Argenio, was working at a Laval service station, pumping gas by day and fixing cars whenever he could. A trained mechanic and natural problem-solver, he earned people’s trust — one customer at a time.

Before long, he was buying used cars, fixing them up, and selling them on the lot. Word spread quickly. People came for the cars, but stayed because of how he treated them. In 1973, he opened his own dealership, and by 1975, he secured the rights to sell BMW. Even back then, his philosophy was simple: do things the right way — with honesty, care, and long-term relationships.

Since then, three generations have carried that vision forward. Each one brought new energy and ideas, but always stayed rooted in what matters most — people.

This year, that commitment was recognized nationally. BMW Canada awarded us the Circle of Excellence — an exclusive recognition of dealerships excelling in sales, service, satisfaction, and innovation. It’s not just an award. It’s a reminder of the standard we set together, every day.

Over 50 years, we’ve proudly served thousands across Laval, Greater Montreal and beyond — selling over 40,000 new BMWs. Some of you have been with us for decades — we’re now serving four generations of loyal clients. That kind of connection means the world to us.

BMW Laval is also about our incredible team. Many of our team members have been with us for 10, 20, even 30 years. They’re the heart of the experience — welcoming, helping, and making every visit count.
