Regular Maintenance: Is it important?

What is the importance of regularly maintaining your BMW? 

Answer: 

Like all high performance vehicles BMW engineers have set rigid maintenance intervals that must be performed as recommended by CBS (Conditioned Based Service). A yellow maintenance message indicates that a service is due and a red message is to be avoided at all costs as it shows overdue. I would like to remind everyone, that in Canada BMW has free maintenance for 4 years or 80,000 km's.
