The new 2024 BMW X5 is arriving on the market now after having been introduced earlier this year. Featuring a revised and improved powertrain lineup with mild hybrid gas-powered engines and a more efficient plug-in hybrid powertrain, along with a more luxurious interior and redesigned exterior, the 2024 BMW X5 takes everything you loved from the previous model and improves it while presenting the distinct DNA of the X5 that has made the luxury SUV so popular since it arrived on the market.

New Exterior Design
The 2024 BMW X5 now features the latest iteration of the signature BMW headlights and kidney grille, and this grille can now be illuminated for the first time on the BMW X5 PHEV and entry-level xDrive40i. The new X5 also gets redesigned LED rear lights as well as distinct front and rear fascia elements that make the 2024 model immediately noticeable. New color options and an enhanced M Sport Pro package provide further visual distinction from the outgoing model.
Redesigned Interior
Modeled after the 2023 BMW X7, the interior of the 2024 BMW X5 houses the BMW Curved Display layout that includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster as well as a massive 14.9-inch centre display with the latest BMW infotainment system. Under the BMW Curved Display, we find the new ambient Light Bar with a crystalline surface structure and crisp LED backlighting, which provides a touch of refinement to the new X5's interior. The centre console has been simplified and uncluttered, and there are new trim and finishing options as well. The interior also offers Sensafin trim and a wide range of comfort technologies.
New Mild Hybrid Technology
The six-cylinder and eight-cylinder combustion engines now pair with a 48V mild-hybrid system that generates an output boost of up to 12 hp and 147 pound-feet of torque. More efficient than ever, the BMW X5's powertrain lineup starts with a three-litre six-cylinder inline powertrain that provides 375 hp and 383 pound-feet of torque, an improvement of 40 hp and 51 pound-feet. The 4.4-litre TwinPower Turbo V8 delivers 523 hp and 553 pound-feet of torque, pushing the new X5 M60i to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds.
Significantly Improved Plug-in Hybrid Model
The 2024 BMW X5 xDrive50e is the plug-in hybrid version of the X5 lineup. It received significant enhancements over last year's model with more power and more all-electric range. Now offering 483 hp and 516 pound-feet of torque, the PHEV X5 reaches 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds, while a 25.7-kWh battery is 25% larger than the previous generation, providing 64 km of all-electric range.
